A teacher-led summer program for ages 3 to 12
Our staff nurture and guide children through the joy of play and learning.
Summer at Touchstone extends the school year while being open to all members of our Grafton-area community. Through play, hands-on activities, and extended projects, children of all ages learn new skills and create lasting friendships. Summer fun and routines led by Touchstone faculty help all students to feel confident, safe, and included.
Den
3 year-olds / PPK
Den Dwellers enjoy hands-on play, messy art, music, water play, and listening to stories. Children will discover new friendships, follow their curiosities and explore the natural world.
Nest
4+5 year-olds / PreK
Nestlings love storytelling, forest and nature play, art, and using their robust imaginations. Days follow a school-like flow and are a wonderful introduction to routine, social connection, and inquiry-based learning.
Explorer
6-9 year-olds / Entering K-4
Explorers begin their day with imaginative play and cooperative sports, and then choose between project blocks that last for the full week. These electives center on creativity and life skills, including archery, cooking, music, gardening, paper crafting, engineering, theater, and sewing. Robust social time, recess, and water play round out the day.
Adventure
10-12 year-olds / Entering 5th-7th
Themed weeks center around outdoor adventure, woodworking, and the arts. The Adventure Crew explores Touchstone's Lake Wildwood Island and ventures off-campus for hiking, swimming, outdoor art exhibits, and community projects. A Junior CIT collaboration with younger programs is available for Adventure-aged students should they desire.
