Independent schools have a long tradition of asking to contribute over and above the cost of tuition. As an independent, non-profit school, Touchstone does not receive federal funding to support its programming. Each year, Â鶹´«Ă˝ depends on unrestricted gifts to the TCS Fund for enrichment programs, campus projects, and scholarships that keep our school accessible and inclusive to families in our surrounding communities.
We encourage everyone to give in the generous spirit that is so much a part of TCS. No gift is too small. Every contribution matters—indeed, when we apply for foundation grants it is critical to show high levels of participation from all members of our community regardless of the amount given.
The TCS Fund enriches curricular materials, supplements the financial aid program which promotes economic diversity within our school, and provides funding for field trips. It provides professional development and training for faculty to ensure your children’s teachers continue to be informed and trained in mission-aligned pedagogies. It also allows us to make campus improvements that are outside of the regular operating budget, but critical for supporting existing programs and expanding future sources of revenue.

Of course! In addition to a TCS Fund gift that provides general support for the year's budget, many families want to direct a gift in support of a specific program or department. Yes! We welcome contributions of goods and services from our community. Indeed, our community comes together three times each year for Stewardship Days to contribute to campus maintenance. We are often looking for donations of related materials in addition to gifts of time and expertise that will directly benefit students. In the fall of 2027, Touchstone will publish the 2026-27 Annual Report, listing the names of those who contributed, but not the amount of each contribution. This publication also shares important information with the community regarding the impact of your giving.
During the fall you will receive detailed information that will describe how contributions to the TCS Fund are used to enhance your child's educational experience. We hope you will make your gift before December 31st, but gifts can be made through June 30th.
